When I was in Ubud, I noticed the Balinese would place incense and little offerings in front of their homes every morning. These daily offerings are normally filled with colorful flowers and it is a way to honor and show gratitude to their Gods. Ever since I have witnessed that, I have been questioning what my offering was to the universe.
Growing up, I haven’t given so much thought of what I can offer, and by the time I was conscious of the idea, I thought my greatest offering is my talents and my ability to overextend myself for others. Seasons have changed and from what I can grasp now is that, each one of us came in this realm with a unique set of traits and skills, yet what doesn’t divide us is the inner work that we all have to do to be more mindful of who we are, which is far more important, so when we are ready to give, share our craft, or love, it is because our own cup of self is overflowing.
To anyone reading this, I hope you know that your mere existence and the healing or inner work that you do for yourself is a much more greater offering that is far reaching because when you show up in your truth, you are creating a ripple.
Start where you are.
