There is magic and growth in rest, stillness, and silence.
One that is healing, soothing, and a necessity in this expeditious world.

Aspin & Puspin Series is a collection of portrait paintings inspired by the local rescue community. The subjects are rescued cats and dogs who continue to heal and thrive in their new environments. Each of their stories has inspired me and taught me about compassion, second chances, and how no amount of suffering should stop us from loving the life we are given.

Beyond their individual stories, these portraits serve as a beautiful reminder to embrace rest, stillness, and silence. In a culture that often dismisses rest as unproductive, these animals remind us that pausing is essential for healing and growth. When you are in nature or in the presence of an animal, you notice that the concept of time and deadlines becomes non-existent. I think that is a beautiful way to live, and through this series, I hope to capture that timeless way of being.
